Fins and Family Fishing's Orange Beach and Gulf Shores inshore fishing charters feature fishing in calm, protected waters such as bays, canals, lagoons, and tidal rivers. Inshore fishing features an exciting light tackle approach to awesome saltwater fish species such as Redfish, Speckled Trout, White Trout, Black Drum, Flounder and even a few Sharks. Inshore fishing charters offer the opportunity to fish a variety of fishing techniques which vary based on the time of year, number of anglers aboard, and the overall skill level of our guests. We often fish styles such as casting live baits or jigs under popping floats, drifting live and dead baits across the bottom, casting artificial lures and plugs, and free lining live baits. We use these techniques to fish over open water oyster beds, along salt marsh grasses, near bridges and passes, on edges of sand bars and channels, near docks, and more. Live shrimp is one of our favorite inshore bait choice but we will fish finger mullet, pogies, ghost shrimp, and fiddler crabs if the fish prefer them.
Fins and Family Fishings' Gulf Shores inshore fishing charters are great for both experienced saltwater junkies and novice anglers alike. Most inshore fishing charters feature our awesome new 25 foot 2018 Sea Hunt BX25BR. She is loaded with features which include an enclosed toilet, ample padded seating, front and rear casting decks, twin 10 foot Power Poles, and state of the art trolling motor. She is topless for ease of casting and is powered by a Yamaha 300 on a jack plate and she will comfortably take us to our favorite fishing spots of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. In addition to our Sea Hunt we will sometimes fish our 30 foot Sea Fox Commander. She is loaded with features which include an enclosed toilet, ample padded seating, hard top with cooling misters, and state of the art 7 foot trolling motor. She is powered by a pair of Yamaha 150's that can quickly and efficiently take us to the fish. A Fins and Family Fishing Orange Beach inshore fishing charter in summer and fall often consists of fishing For Redfish, Black Drum, Sea Trout, Black Snapper, Spanish Mackerel and more near the jetties at Perdido Pass, in Cotton Bayou, Wolf Bay, Arnica Bay, and even the Intracoastal Waterway. Early Spring and Winter inshore fishing charters in Orange Beach often focus on areas near Perdido Pass pursuing Sheepshead, Redfish and more.
Fins and Family Fishings' nearshore fishing charters focus on fishing within three miles of the beach. We use fishing techniques such as casting live baits or jigs, drifting live and dead baits, light tackle bottom fishing, casting artificial lures and plugs, and trolling. We use these techniques to fish over reefs and wrecks, near bridges and passes, along jetties, and in open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The techniques we recommend for each group varies based on the time of year, number of anglers aboard, and the overall skill level of our guests. Active styles such as casting and jigging are best for small groups while trolling, bottom fishing, and drift fishing can be made easy with as many six anglers. When trolling nearshore we cruise up to three miles from shore pulling spoons, plugs and lures behind the boat for awesome saltwater species such as Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Bonita, Redfish, and more. When we get a strike the rod bounces, the adrenaline starts pumping, and the fun begins. Near shore fishing charters are good for most skill levels and are a great way to introduce novice teens and adults to an offshore saltwater fishing experience.
Our offshore fishing charters feature exciting trolling and bottom fishing action in the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Whether you are a seasoned saltwater junkie or a family of first time saltwater anglers, we have an offshore fishing charter for you! We feature both state and federally permitted offshore boats which allow us to offer a variety of awesome deep sea fishing options and rates. Our Federal Offshore Fishing Charters range to more than 50 nautical miles offshore and feature trips targeting Red Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Triggerfish, Tuna, Mahi, and more. Federal deep sea fishing charters are great for experienced anglers and some family groups. Our State of Alabama Offshore Fishing Charters feature exciting saltwater fishing in State of Alabama waters which extend up to nine nautical miles offshore. State offshore fishing charters are great for families and feature exciting species such as Red Snapper, Triggerfish, and occasionally sharks without having to go too far offshore.
