Our family friendly Orange Beach Offshore Fishing Charters in AL and FL waters feature a combination of trolling and bottom fishing within nine nautical miles of the beach. We offer our Orange Beach offshore fishing charters in state waters of Alabama and Florida year round with our summertime state waters Red Snapper Fishing Charters being among our most most popular charters.

SPRING OFFSHORE FISHING

Spring offshore fishing can be very rewarding. Species such as Gray Triggerfish and Red Snapper often bite well in March through May. Triggerfish are in often in season for harvest in the spring of most years while Red Snapper are not legal to keep in the spring but they are very fun to catch and release. Late spring also begins the return of our warm water Migratory Pelagic species such as Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and the elusive Cobia. Mackerel are often caught trolling, casting jigs, and free lining live shrimp or flat lining Cigar Minnows. Cobia fishing often requires a bit of patience and a lot of luck but if you are fortunate enough to catch one you will surely agree it is worth the pursuit. Unique, delicious, and incredibly strong, the Cobia is the top prize in springtime offshore fishing.

SUMMER OFFSHORE FISHING

Summer marks the beginning of our busiest fishing season of the year. It also ushers in the season for Red Snapper, the most popular fish along the northern Gulf of Mexico. Both State of Alabama and Florida Red Snapper seasons traditionally open for harvest around the first of June. Florida Red Snapper Season is often open seven days a week while state of Alabama waters are most commonly only open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and sometimes Mondays. Most our summertime Orange Beach offshore fishing charters in state waters charters focus on catching Red Snapper but we do catch other cool offshore fish such as Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, Black Snapper, Sharks, Bonita, and an occasional small Mahi-Mahi.

FALL OFFSHORE FISHING

Fall fishing offshore in both states is traditionally an extension of the bite from summer. And while some species like the Red Snapper are typically no longer available for harvest, we still catch lots of fish and have a few good harvest options. Spanish Mackerel and King Mackerel are all available and open for harvest in state waters along with a few late season Vermilion Snapper.

WINTER OFFSHORE FISHING

Winter offshore fishing charters can be very productive. Catch and release species such as Red Snapper Triggerfish come closer to shore in the winter making them easier to catch and accessible for both Alabama and Florida offshore charters. Fish that we can keep in the winter such as Vermilion Snapper also venture closer to shore and can be caught in state waters at times. We do not typically troll in the winter instead we focus more on bottom fishing, jigging spoons, chunking, chumming, and flat lining with baits such as squid and cigar minnows. Winter offshore fishing charters generally offer the most fishing time of any season due to shorter rides to the fish in the winter.
